I think when my children were young, I was a pretty good parent. I was a very hands on mother. Now that they're older I feel lost like I don't know how to be a mother. Anyone can relate?

YES! That space between being an elementary school kid, and being a human being, um, I mean adult - it's very hard.
I love the book "Parenting Teens With Love and Logic". I think it's a MUST READ for every parent.
It absolutely turned around my relationship with DD. We were suddenly a team brainstorming a problem, instead of opponents on a battlefield.
