We went to Lancaster, PA with our baby, but that was when she was about 3 months old, which is obviously very different from traveling with an 8 month old. We had a great time there!
Basically, I think you can go pretty much anywhere with a baby, as long as you are psyched beforehand that you won't be able to do as much as if you were alone. Hope you figure out something nice! Little getaways are awesome!
