We have tried a few of the top rated recipes online, but they are not similar to the taste we are used to (I guess our local take out store doesn't make "real" General Tso's, lol). To be more specific, we don't like the heavy soy sauce taste that most General Tso's recipes have.

Anyone have a recipe for General Tso's chicken without too much soy sauce?

TIA!

Our favorite:
Cut cutlets into bite sized pieces. Coat with flour. Fry each side until golden. Put into a 9x13, drizzle with Iron Chef's General Tso's sauce. Bake uncovered 15-20 min. Serve with rice and broccoli.

I have tried a bunch of recipes and recently used this recipe and thought it was good. I always like to taste the sauce before I serve it to see if I want to adjust any of the flavor like add more sweetness or whatever but I remember we really liked this

You might be used to the ketchup added to the sauce.
Cook up this sauce, taste and see if that's what you want over your fried chicken cubes the next time you're making it. (Add zing for spicy general Tso's.)

Thank you so much, ra_mom!

These ingredients look right. I'm definitely going to try this one!
