I have the original ticket to ride (and expansion) and my kids have been able to play independently starting sometime between 8 and 9.
Does that mean the jr version (Target has amazing sales right now) would work for a bright 5 yo in my family?

Yes it should. Its also one of the only Jr type games that my older kids will play with the younger and that we don’t find really boring.

I have absolutely no idea what that means. It's not electronic and very shabbos friendly.
