I read "A light between oceans" by M L Stedman and "Accidental Heroes" by Danielle Steel. The accidental heroes book although by Danielle Steel is not a romantic book which is her normal style. It is more a drama.
I really enjoyed both these books and I wonder if anyone can recommend titles of non-jewish books similar to the above.

I enjoyed a light between oceans and I also enjoyed most of Jodi Picoults books

I also liked Accidental Heroes a lot.
Jodie Picoult is good. Kristen Hannah is similar in style, maybe a little better.
Lisa Genova writes amazing books about people with serious diseases, Alzheimers, Parkinson's.
