have you ever made candles at home? I'm. Trying to find a method that won't affect the kashrus of my kitchen (for example, melting non kosher wax in my pot)

Any other options?
A separate pot is great if you use it regularly, but what if you want to do it once? Or. You're not sure you'll want to do it again?

You could technically use a used can instead of a pot.

Most paraffin and other materials can be gotten plant or chemical based.

Pure paraffin is a petroleum product and is by definition kosher. It's what's all your shabbat, chanuka, havdalah and yahrzeit candles are made of unless you're a big spender and use beeswax.

Beeswax makes the best candles, smells yum and is kosher, but pricey.

I bought a pot at a yard sale for 25 cents. It was kind of fun actually because I never buy kitchen stuff at yard sales normally. This was all pre-Covid though. I like someone’s idea of using a used can now.
