I didn’t say otherwise.
I’m doing deep inner work.
I’m just saying that wanting to be young doesn’t come from a place of “immaturity”
That’s being dismissive of many other emotions going on inside
Aging is a process - and not always an easy one

I wasn't speaking to you personally. And anyway, I'm probably older than you are.

I can’t take off my wrinkly face when I go to weddings.
And I’m proud of my age, cognizant of all my struggles that have brought quicker aging to me- love myself- but no- I don’t love my wrinkles.

I ended up at a sibling's wedding with no makeup (long story). I don't think I looked hideous, mid 30s skin and all.

Some people can pull it off better than others, so I think generalizing may be a mistake.

I think it is becoming more and more accepted. Maybe people don’t advertise they are doing it but we are living in the times of fake eyelashes, self tanner, hair extensions... I don’t see it as any different than these.

So that also means that if we don't do it we're gonna look worse by comparison...?

No lol. Most in yeshivish circle won’t do it. No one is comparing u side by side with your neighbors looks. Many can’t afford it, many don’t care, many want to age gracefully

I had these lines going from my nose to mouth that were really bothering me- so she did filler and it looks amazing . I don’t look like anything was done- those lines just went away and it only needs to be done once a year.

I know this is an old thread, bumping this up cuz I'm just really curios...
I'm 35 and I also have little lines by the side of my mouth...
what is filler?
does it hurt? I happen to be scared of needles...
what is the approximate cost per treatment?
thanks so much!

I haven't heard this yet though just put it in my queue. It's very short so obviously won't be comprehensive but should give some good food for thought.

My DH had a breathing issue and while he fixed it he got a natural nose job. He looks amazing.

I would love a nose job but wouldn’t put myself under the knife for just beauty.

I would also love a tummy tuck once I’m doing having kids.

I'm in my low 30's and do botox for crows feet around my eyes and some filler for deep smile lines. I'm a regular Lakewood woman and the cosmetologist (she's a frum woman) told me that it's extremely common in the yeshivish community to get botox - she said you'd be shocked if you realized how many ppl did it. Nobody would dare admit that they took it if this topic came up in real life.

Can you share who you go to and the approximate cost? I am very interested in doing similar, and would love to have a recommendation from someone who has done it. Thank you!
