Even in 4000sq home. The huge hallway upstairs and keeping bedrooms separate from each other... ifs nice to be able to have a bit more room to play with upstairs

I'm not a fan. Noise, heat and air conditioning are all affected. It eats up a lot of space, and looks pretentious. Not to mention that it has to be really large for the high ceiling not to create a chimney feeling. If the proportions are off, it's worse than nothing.
