I have three little girls ages 3-6 and a 1.5 yr old boy. We are planning on being dolls this Purim.( Something to make My 6 yr old happy bec she wishes to be a kalla/ princess sort of pretty thing.) I would love to hear input on costumes/ mm from my fellow imas. Also how to dress my boy as a boy doll- is that a thing
Any and all ideas are welcome!

Thanks! Great ideas, it’s simpler for all girls to be the same. How can I dress them up as pretty dolls- dresses, hairdos and some makeup?? I want it to be obvious that they’re dressed up!! I like the ideas for my son...keep em coming

short coloured Petticoats white shell white tights shabbos shoes
Or use jumpers if you have in closet
Or buy pink polka dotted fabric make skirts out of it
Curled ringlets with matching ribbons
Round pink cheeks with a few black dots using eyeliner for freckles
lipstick you can also draw a doll smile line further onto cheeks using black liner
Carry baskets

You can find pretty Victorian dresses, add a petticoat, do their hair in ringlets tied back with a ribbon, and put on doll-like makeup (rosy cheeks, freckles). Maybe find some cute straw boater hats. Your little boy can be dressed in a little Victorian suit or perhaps be the toy master with a top hat and mustache.

So cute! There was a post on between carpools with a bunch of girls dressed as Victorian dolls. They looked absolutely adorable!

Maybe stick a wind up turner on their back so it's obvious they are a toy?

I saw that somewhere, but I’m not sure most kids would even understand what that is these days? Plus it might be cumbersome to get in and out of the car etc... maybe I’ll try to diy it and see.
(I also saw an idea of a doll “in a box” which they would hold. It would be great for covid = plastic face shield idea, but I’m not sure how to execute without being too cumbersome)

Thanks for the links byisrael. So I’m trying to keep costs down, I actually ordered some cheap dresses from SHEIN...we’ll see if it’s the right look. I hope to find petticoats that I can borrow. I like that teddy bear costume but would love something cheaper... closer to $10/$15. Maybe my local costume gemach?.
