How many goiters does it take to make you cringe
(sorry, you can't have a [cleaner] thread without a goiter pun!)

Just wondering
I've always heard "goya." Is the correct word [gentile woman] or goya?
Before anyone screams, this is a grammatical question - I don't have cleaning help and if I did, I would call him/her by their name, as I did when my mother had cleaning help.

Someone was giving me advice on making a 7 brachos and she said 'take a [gentile woman]! Make her peel the vegetables!' I seriously cringed and instead of lecturing I tried to switch the subject. Uch!!! It's horrible to speak that way, nto to mention that there exists such a thing as Jewish household help.

My MIL says goya (she would never DREAM of having one because she is superbalabusta! b'h) ... she is Sephardic Israeli...
maybe Israelis say goya and Yiddish is [cleaner].

why did u have to cringe ? take your [gentile woman] help and let her peel the vegatable. I do it every thursday and it is a times saver. also peasach she peels and cuts everything for me. she does put on gloves peasach. time.
why is a [gentile woman] any different then going to a restarant. where even a [gentile] cooks your whole meal. do u ever eat outside your house .?who do u think touches all the food then.at a wedding who do u think touches and prepares all the food? get real

there is a [cleaner] and a yidena.
[cleaner]-a woman with three missing teeth one gold one and a torn mismatched outfit or a faded donated robe from someone she worked at ten years ago. and three shopping bags -one for slippers and working top-not to ruin her nice one shes wearing now, one is old fruit from the person shes comming from now, and one of odds and ends
anyways we call a [gentile woman] the lady until we find out her name-since I dont have a steady one at this point
