How do I prepare my super anxious 6 year old for a blood test. Hes scared of loads of things and still remembers his shots from 3 years ago with horror. Do I talk about it to him or not tell him until the day of? It's going to be so hard for him I wish I could protect him from this trauma. 😢

Some people have success with this - https://www.amazon.com/Buzzy-M.....MOWBM
TBH I would tell him, and give him some tools (mental or physical) to help him with it. I.e., "let's daven to Hashem that it doesn't hurt you so much this time." Give him a stress ball to hold, ask him to model behavior for his younger sibling, really anything so that he feels less of a victim.

Use emla inside both elbows. Give cbd before. Hold him. Colorful band aid before and big treat. Don’t talk about it too much in advance but don’t spring it on him either. Don’t invalidate their fear but don’t make too much of a deal either.
