I can’t figure out if the business interview with the guy who manufactures poppers was a real interview or a made up Purim one?
Anyone know?

Didn't read that article yet, but I gotta say, if you have to ask, it wasn't a very good Purim joke imho. Hate when they do that

When they put a picture of a real man, write an introduction to the article about how they look for someone who is an entrepreneur with a good sense of humor for purim, it makes you wonder if he is real.

I took it at face value. All the while wondering how on earth its true. I even shared with my daughter...and he had 13 kids by 36, got married at 21....
But now that you're asking, it makes sense it was baloney.
Silly...I wasted my time on that...was not even amused.

Huh. Didn’t even occur to me that it would be a joke. Anyone know definitively?

I'm now halfway through the magazine. I find that it takes away from the validity if I can't be sure if anything I'm reading is fact or a Purim joke.

There was a pic of a real person. I was talking about it all shababs bec he says he has granddaughters in shiduchim and money talks and I'm like hey maybe I have someone for them. I could use the money. If it was satire the magazine should have wrote that somewhere bec I def lost my credibility with everyone I told this too
I really thought it was real. Anyone know for sure

After Op posted and I reread it makes sense that its a joke.
1. I live in Mnsy do not know of this guy as a rich guy
2. Rich guys do not go around saying how much money they have.
3. Poppers are easy to get anywhere in China
4. I don't believe this guy picked up Chinese..not that easy..
5. Dont think that Chinese ppl put fish heads in their soup. Neither that they would pay $5 per head...
6. He met Trump
Theres more but I dont remember what I read there...
7. They stated at the beginning they had used Yankel Miller and other comedians for Purim issues...

A magazine that does not want all its articles to be mistaken for satire should clearly mark what is and what isn't.

About $5 for the fish heads..... Keep in mind that was 30-40 years ago! That's probably like $10-15 in today's currency when you consider inflation.

I personally found this week's Binah quite boring, especially the Purim section, but at least they clearly labeled the spoof articles.

I think I need to make a poll! Now I’m even more curious if he’s real or not. From the intro nesanel ganz wrote it sounded like he was, yet, I still don’t know
