Urgent: Can I use Red Star Yeast that I sold with the Chametz?
(This is from R' Blumenkrantz's app)
However, one can also collect yeast from plant sources and produce it via fermentation. If yeast doesn’t contain any ingredients from the 5 grains (as it often doesn’t) it isn’t chametz even though it has the same characteristics as se’or (see Mechiltah 9:19 on Sh’mos 12:19) and one may own it on Pesach. [The process of “fermentation” and the possible chametz concerns it raises will be discussed below]. Thus, se’or is concentrated yeast but the yeast which is commonly sold in stores is not se’or.

Yes.
If it were chometz, it was sold, so it's fine.
I believe that the app was saying that it wasn't chometz in the first place.

Thanks. I was thinking this, but wanted someone else to say the same.

Yes you can use it, I specifically asked last year as I had a big package of yeast that I didn’t want to throw out and was told I can sell it as yeast is not chametz

AFAIK you don't have to sell it. Just put it away so that it doesn't get used on Pesach.

Yeast isn't chometz and you can use it after Pesach. If yeast were chometz, wine would be assur on Pesach, as yeast is not only what turns flour into bread and grain into beer, but also what turns grape juice into wine.
