Where did the gardening thread go? I am about to start a garden in my backyard. New house, never did this before, - so completely no experience, but so excited! My kids are itching to start, so I am trying to binge-collect tips so we can start ASAP. I am thinking of planting zucchini, tomato, cherry tomato and cucumber. I have to decide which part of my yard is shady/sunny- which is best for the plants? And do I need new garden soil? Or just a soil booster sort of thing and use my reg soil in the yard? Raised bed?
All tips appreciated!
