Amother cyan covered some of ours already.
Also, magnetic dolls, but only if you are confident she won't put the little pieces in her mouth and you can keep them away from any younger kids.
Melissa & Doug has some very nice toys for that age. My kids loved the Doorbell House, which comes with little people and real locking doors with matching attached keys, and it was also very popular with many guests' kids. That toy is under your price point (discounted to $24 on Amazon now) but it is a good example of their stuff or maybe you could combine it with another item.

if I'm spending that amount of money I would buy something good. Mellisa and Doug is nice but cheap. I would buy a doll carriage thats sold in jewish stores. A nice playmobile set cost 100 and it includes everything you could buy in the smaller sets plus more. Save your money and buy the larger ones instead. a 18 inch doll plus doll clothes and accessories. doll bed, highchair A training wheel bike, $40 at walmart.

Also, is this your DD or someone else's child?
When I buy for other people's kids, I try to avoid toys that take up a lot of space and can't be easily disassembled and put away or toys that people usually only want one or two of. Unless you plan to give with a gift receipt, in which case I suppose it doesn't matter.

I bought this for my niece's 4th birthday, its Toys 4 U's company, you can buy it in store.
She felt like a million dollars and is forever playing with it

Since when did Melissa & Doug become "cheap"? Granted, I haven't bought in in at least 10 years, but last I checked it used to be all solid wood, with quality that you could pass down to your grandkids. I'll be very sad if that's changed.
DD was obsessed with her play kitchen, and could keep herself busy for hours on end. With your budget, a toddler sized set of pots and pans would be a good start.

My DDs love them and I secretly kind of hate them because they crop up all over the house. But they love them and play with them a lot, and that is what's important
