in the last few years, can you share the best way to study for sims? All the helpful sites keep saying to do MC and MC and MC, but I am worried that I will not be prepared for the sims. They are also saying that the sims provided in the review course were not helpful, and I'm hesitant to concentrate on them as it is very time consuming to do multiple sims.

Any ideas?

TIA!

Sign up for Becker, do all the lectures and tests and it'll be hard to fail.

Thanks! I'm wondering if I have a chance to pass as I skipped all the sims.

ETA: sorry, I should have mentioned - this is for FAR.

It’s almost impossible to prepare for the sims. But yes, as much MC as possible is crucial.

Just came back to thank you all for your help! Just passed the first test, b'h. Did only a few sims before the test and totally didn't do well on them so this was a real shocker. Seems like just doing MCQ works too, thanks again!

Congrats!
May I ask which review course you used?
How long did you study for? Were you solely studying or were you working during the day?

Thanks! I used Becker and I supplemented with ninja towards the end because I was so far behind....

I work part time and have a family bh. I studied on and off for a while but actually sat down to study seriously, it was about five weeks.

Not gonna lie it was intense but hopefully the hardest test is behind me.

Same situation here with studying on and off while working and having a family.
I finally scheduled a test for 12 weeks from now, which is on track to complete Becker's schedule, but I won't be able to take off of work for 2 weeks to do the practice tests all day...
When you studied for those 5 weeks, about how many hours a day did you study?
How was Ninja helpful for you?

I didn't do any practice tests, I've been lurking on CPA forums and they say it's a waste of time.
Those five weeks were really really intense and I studied every second I could Smile. I work part time and my husband basically took over and whatever he didn't do didn't get done. I think it was crazy and I don't recommend it at all, 12 weeks sounds much more do-able.

Ninja was recommended on all the CPA forums. I figured it's not very expensive so I would give it a try.... I think it was worth it. I feel like it really helped me pass.

Good luck!
