So far I have like 6 containers of regular chicken soup in the freezer.

But want to make something dairy for shavuos night or day (not sure when to eat which but I guess it doesn’t matter).
What are some easy things I can make and store in the freezer? Really don’t want to be in a rush erev Yom tov

Thanks!!

How would you warm up those foods so they won’t burn on the hot plate on Yom tov?

I keep my oven on 225. I put everything in the oven. It’s great!

You can freeze deli roll, low mein, meats, cherry pie....

Whoops. Forgot to mention. Would it be a problem to use a hot plate normally used for meaty stuff for dairy?

I cover my hot plate with foil before putting the dairy on. I've actually started putting foil on regularly as it's much easier than scrubbing the hot plate when things spill.

Maybe you can get sternos to heat up the dairy.

I have a Sterno for cooking and a hot plate for rewarming. I connect both to a shabbos timer, so it doesn't have to stay on the whole time. For those of you who worry like I do.

Double layer of foil on the top of hot plate (don't seal all around the bottom- very dangerous)

I was told as long as it’s clean it’s fine. I was told it’s not safe to cover. Of course this is food in pans not food directly on the hotplate
