FTM here!
My 3 year old will be starting daycamp, and going on a bus for the first time.
He is also newly trained.
How can I help him with all these new adjustments?
A lot of it is me being anxious, but I think some of it is legitimate.
Until now, I took him to playgroup every morning + he was in diapers, so there was no worry of how he'll stay dry until he got there..

How long is the bus ride?
Make sure he goes right before the bus gets there, and tell the morah to take him to the bathroom as soon as he gets off the bus. That should help a lot. Good luck!

I go to school - book by hachai. Kid goes on a school bus, has a cubby etc. It's the same as camp for that age.

This is probably not helpful, but is there anyway you can drive him at least for the first few days? This way he starts off on a good note, no anxiety, has time to get used to the bus on the way home, and will hopefully transition well to a morning bus after a few successful days.

Has he expressed nerves about the bus? He may find it thrilling and the anxiety may be yours and not his .

Does he have another little friend on the bus?
If he sees others that he knows he’ll be excited

I was already planning on dropping him off the first few days.
I forgot about the bus ride home, that he'll get used to that.. good point!

The bus ride back is easier, morah puts all the kids on it together. The way there is harder bc he's leaving the house by himself.
