She scraped herself at school last week but the cut seemed to heal well. Now she’s saying her knee hurts, she can’t bend it, she can’t walk...what can this be?

I don't know. It might be nothing.
My six yr olds aches and pains are mostly imagined.
But as someone suffering from knee pain, it is extremely painful, and the longer I waited before making a dr appointment, the worse it got.
Now waiting for PT appointment

Could it be she twisted it when she fell? Could be a ligament or something got pulled, that takes longer to heal. Won't show up on a normal x-ray. Generally just needs rest and goes away on its own.

My DS was diagnosed with Lyme disease after complaining suddenly that his knee hurt and he couldn’t walk.
My other child had strep whenever he complained of knee pain.

My daughter's scraped knee turned to MRSA infection. didn't look all that bad from the outside. is it still red/warm? I'd go to the pediatrician either way.

Maybe something got in there that you don't know . My son fell in the house and from the outside it looked like nothing .then he complained and it got swollen and there was a piece of glass Inside next to the knee

Strep
Might have nothing to do with the fact that she fell. When I was a kid, a hurting knee was a strep symptom for me

My son had the same thing. It happened 3 times. Each time in the evening. He would tell me his knees were hurting and he couldn't walk. It was very scary but we never got to the bottom of it. We did blood work and everything....
I am guessing it was growing pains.

My friend just had it with her son.
strep. No other symptoms. Sadly, Needs a cardiologist now.
Worth checking out.

As a child, I got knee pain with strep.
My little brother just got cellulitis from a scrape on his leg.
