I've never heard of paying one package price. It's normally priced per lesson, since some kids pick it up much faster than others. In Brooklyn I think it's around $50-$60 per lesson, which usually lasts 45-60 minutes. If the teacher is going to the student's house, that's definitely a reason to charge even a bit more. But if he already contracted for $1000 and started teaching, it's not fair to the student or his parents to try to renegotiate the terms.

Anyone have recent rate info for Brooklyn ( Flatbush) ?
Also, what is the method used? Are the boys taught the teamim or just parrot their specific parsha?

My son just had his Bar mitzvah. Lessons were $40 a session (about 45 minutes). Lessons were done via Zoom due to Covid.
