Are diaper creams such as A&D or Butt paste allowed to be used on Shabbos?

Our rabbi says that for a baby you can do whatever. Hot bath too if needed. Ask your LOR?

If I remember correctly from high school you're supposed to put it on the diaper and use the diaper to kind of blot it against the skin not to rub it on the skin

I buy a tub so I don't have to squeeze. I dab it on the baby without smearing

Yes, but you need to be careful not to smear it. Either dab it on your baby, or squeeze it directly onto the diaper

I either squeeze on the diaper or squeeze directly onto the baby. Then hope it gets shumshed to the right spots...
