Assuming that the stain is from excess dye that transferred to the sheet, use RIT Color remover. It's formulated to remove excess dye from fabric. Depending on what the sheet is made of and how it was dyed, the color of the sheet may change. So wash the entire sheet set in RIT Color Remover if you want a consistent look.
Oh, and tell your dh or ds not to wear this hat in the rain, or to protect it with a nerdy-but-practical plastic hat protector.

Make sure you wash both yours and his sheets together. (Top sheets too). You want them to still match each other.
ETA -and pillow cases.
