The Chief Rabbinate of Israel, responding to the difficult challenges currently facing the Jewish people, and with the advent of the Days of Awe, has called upon Jews worldwide to observe a Yom Kippur Katan, a day of prayer and fasting, tomorrow, Thursday September 1. The Hebrew letter can be read – and printed for dissemination – on www.ou.org.

For all those who can take upon themselves to fast tomorrow, please do so. We urge each individual and synagogue to join in the Chief Rabbinate’s call, as we pray together with our brothers and sisters in Israel and Jews all over the Diaspora, for peace, unity and blessings. For those in New York City, Mincha prayer services will be held at the OU offices, 11 Broadway, 14th floor at 1:45pm.
