Whats an updated look for basement spotlights, thats nice looking, gives good light, and economical, for a 1500 sf basement thats split into a hall and 4 rooms?

Links/photos and anything that looks like a good deal from Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, etc, would be appreciated.

We got something like this, because it took away the least amount of ceiling space.

Same idea. I just picked one.

We got ours from a lighting place, not Amazon.

Ive seen photos of ceilings with square recessed lighting, that looks very new.

Are the squares made differently, better or worse? Has anyone put in square recessed lighting?

My contractor and electrician both said that square lighting is tricky because if it's not done perfectly it looks off. Round doesn't have that issue.

Also in general square lighting can cast funny shadows. I don't know if it's the same thing with recessed lighting though.

That makes sense, if squares are not installed in a perfectly neat row, its obvious its off...
