No it wouldn’t. Don’t be seduced by the imamother fascination with doggerel verse. Unless done exceptionally well, which it rarely is, verse cheapens and trivializes the sentiment, reducing it to a Hallmatk wannabe. Genuine sentiment written from the heart, even if phrased less than elegantly, touches the heart in a way that tinny verse never can.
