Which publisher works well with young reader books? I’m working on a book that would appeal to early readers, about ages 5-8. I’m finding it hard to get Jewish books for my own young reader that has easy words but an engaging storyline. I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands and try to create something on the level of Junie B Jones or Princess in Black, as in a chapter book with child-friendly vocabulary.
Any leads? Is it worth it to self publish (maybe through Amazon) if I can write, illustrate, and format the book on InDesign myself?

If it's a high quality book with an educational message, Hachai is a good place to try. (They don't pay that well, though.)
