I don’t like my Cholent. There, I admitted it. I have tried to tweak it so many times but I still don’t ever look forward to eating it. I need Cholent help!
I love eating Cholent at kiddaishim. Does someone have a recipe for caterer Cholent? I want to somehow bring this into my home

But oil alone is what’s giving it that flavor?

Layer diced onion. Then some beans (I soak overnight) then meat with bone or fatty meat and seperate marrow bone. Spices salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, then rest of beans. 3 diced potatoes and like 3/4 cup of barley. Cover with water till like has an inch of water between final layer.
I cover with a towel and set on low fri morning in my crockpot.
*if you want extra yummy put some kishka on top and let it melt in.
Mistakes I was making for years was not using bone and using lean meat.
