Does anyone know:
Where can I get Glicks medium egg pan Challah?
Does Shloimy's sell onion, sourdough, pretzel, multigrain every week in both locations? Last time I went I didn't see any specialty challahs.
Does Spring have the same challahs/same recipe that Breadsmith on ave M has? |
Shloimy's has sour dough on Thursdays and Fridays in both stores. Not sure about the other days. I highly recommend the multigrain sour dough. It'sdelicious!

We tried almost all the suggested Challahs on this thread and some that weren't, in Brooklyn, including heimish, water, egg, and specialty ones like multigrain, spelt... We tried around 50 different types of Challah and our favorites we tried twice to make sure! Here are our favorites:
Heimish Challah: Gourmet Glatt's heimish challah is amazing! This is our favorite challah overall.
Water Challah: Kaffs and Ostrovitsky both delicious water challahs!
Bakery where all the Challahs types were good: Kaffs. some bakeries had an excellent egg challah but not water, and some had an excellent water but not heimish. But this bakery had good challah across the 3. (their water, egg, and heimish challahs were all very very good)

Only $6.49 and unbelievably light and fluffy with a fabulous crust!
Way better and way lighter than any other sour dough in bp

Yes, their ready to bake challah in the freezer is delicious. (I think they sell the same already baked- but they have a few different kinds.)
We also love Gourmet Glatt's challah (it stays fresher than most for 2 days YT). And Kaff's is also one of our options.

It sounds like both shops carry the same ready to bake challah (though I don't know for sure since I don't shop at Bingo).
