Are you adding oil to the pot? An easy way to clean is as soon as you finish using it soak it in soapy water. Don't leave the kasha in the pot until you finish eating take it out right away.

Soak the pot in water for a few hours, then use a stiff plastic card like an old transit card to scrape the residue off the pot. The thinner the card, the more effective it will be.

Spray it with Pam and when you’re done with the pot, soak it for a while with a bit of dishwashing liquid and water. It’ll be easier after that.
