I am trying to do some research on a medical issue, but I don't really know how to find the truth! Everyone bashes everyone else so who do you believe?

Well, to begin with, double-blind clinical trials are the gold standard of research, though a single study is not definitive; and peer-reviewed journals are the standard of publication. I would definitely be biased towards info from a reputable center (Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, etc) than a no-name site. However, other material can be valuable, you just need to keep in mind where it comes from.
