Never heard of such a thing but I just googled "free car seat for nj family care" and a bunch of links came up!!

Not sure if NY is same. I spoke to the insurance they gave me some numbers to call. It was a donation center (used) with no idea what or when new products will be in. I personally decided not to go ahead.
