I would like to tip $100.
She puts a lot of work into my little boy.
I don't want to create unreasonable expectations, am I?
I would like to tip the assistant the going rate, how much is that? Same for therapists, SEIT, speech, ot, driver, etc.

Sounds a bit excessive. Are you planning to give that agin on Purim?

I’m giving 50 even though it’s a bit more than what ppl in my playgroup give (20/30) because I find her so warm and she invests a lot in my daughter.

I give assistants 20 and her therapists 20/ 30 as well in gift cards.

It's a morah in a preschool, not playgroup.
Im a ftm and dh said to give that.
That's why I'm asking if the number is off.
We're in brooklyn.

It sounds quite off to me. I think 50 now and 50 Purim is really nice and will stand out enough. Maybe others can chime in…

I don't really get why people are worried about giving too much. $100 is a really nice generous gift. If you can afford it, it will be MUCH appreciated.

I have given $75 to my child's morahs without thinking twice. It doesn't matter what you will give Purim or end of the year or whatever. Who says you have to give then anyway? Gifts shouldn't work like that.

It’s more typical to give that amount to a Rebbe and not to a Morah. ( I know it’s unfair, just stating the reality of what’s done.) I say if you can afford it and the teacher works hard with your child, then go for it! I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated!

I'm a Morah. I get anywhere from $20-$100 all the time. It's very generous and greatly appreciated, but not excessive.
