I would like to know if my broker is charging the going price

can you tell me how much you charge your stock broker for

a. Setting up your account
b. managing it monthly with buys and sells

It varies a lot based on the size of the account. A 7-figure portfolio will pay a much lower percentage of assets than a $25k account. What is your approximate balance, and how often is your broker making changes to the account?
