My child is seeing double and blurry and it’s getting worse. Booked appt last month but it’s not till end of April (earliest appt).
We live in Orange County, but honestly at this point I’ll go to NYC if we need to.
Any recommendations for a pediatric ophthalmologist that does a good exam? (And doesn’t have a 5 month wait...)

My son saw Dr Erica Oltra at this practice in the Boro Park location. He has a difficult prescription and needs prisms. She is a lovely doctor and got the prescription right.
They do have several other locations but I can't recommend a particular doctor at those. You can call to verify that they accept your insurance. Hatzlocha.

Thanks. We tried them last week- they don’t accept it?.

I think they only accept straight Medicaid in a hospital
Do you want to go to the emergency room and see if they have a hospital doctor/opthamologist?
When will you be on an hmo?

I believe Ezra accepts straight Medicaid.

Dr Schwartz is great!
Just make sure to tell them in advance that you don't want the resident, otherwise it takes ages
