My daughter was given an appointment for a high school interview with the principal for motzei shabbos.
My other daughters went on a school night and wore their uniforms.
What is a girl expected to wear on motzei shabbos? They gave us the option of Sunday too. What would a girl wear on Sunday? Her uniform? Regular clothing?

Same.
Dd asked if she should wear shabbos, I told her it's her choice.
I don't think it's such a big deal either way.

I would do regular clothing that fall within the tznius guidelines of the school.

I guess she’ll be wearing her coat mostly so not so much will show.

I would ask her current 8th grade teacher.
My daughter had a Lakewood High School interview Motzei Shabbos and the teacher recommended that they wear uniforms to make things less complicated. The same thing for Sunday.
It just makes the girls less self-conscious that the principal is looking at her, checking her style, length.

If this helps - my daughter was told to wear her uniform for all of her seminary interviews. You can never go wrong with that.
