Hi I'm expecting my first iyh and am close to the end of my second trimester.
When do I start looking for a babysitter? I know that it can be hard to find someone...

babysitter situation in lakewood is insane. You'll likely only be able to fine a babysitter for summer time/2023 school yr. finding a babysitter before then is next to impossible!! I know a few ladies who cannot return to their jobs because they cannot find a babysitter for their newborns...Its extremely tough. I wish you lots of hatzlacha!!!

Look now, but if you’re looking for a babysitter you may need to wait until the school year is over. Daycares usually add slots during the year.

Im a babysitter.
You can start looking now, but don't expect anyone to commit or anything.
So many of us have been burned so badly. A mother expects to go back at the beginning of February when her baby is 6 weeks old, and then has medical things, and extra family leave and doesn't go back to work until the beginning of May. It's wonderful that she got extra time with her baby, but I'm left with that slot. Should I hold it,give it away. Every 2 weeks she says "2 more weeks".
