Does it depend on how often you wash it or how often you wear it?

Yes. Washing a dyed wig will rinse the dye. A lot of times after 4-5 washes the wig will be back to what it was before the dye.
This does depend on a few factors thou. Age of the wig, how expensive a wig it is and if it was virgin hair to begin with
