I am fed up with maternity shopping. I am only 19 weeks and my maternity clothes are getting snug. I cannot zip my maternity jacket. I have spent so much on maternity clothes I have no desire to spend another $1000 on winter clothes for the next 8 weeks then spring clothes in April / may / June
I decided that iyh motzei Shabbos I’m going to try shein which has coats for $15 and shirts for $5. I understand the quality may be inferior but I only need them to last 8 weeks so it’s not a huge deal to me. Does anyone know how the sizing works ? Has anyone done this? Ty !!!

Usually size up. I actually ordered 2 of each and returned. I only did it for sweatshirts for house.
If you find something amazing you can share.
Will look for my links.

I was pregnant last year in the winter/early spring. I had gotten maternity stuff from them- the quality was actually awesome! I got a bunch of weekday sweaters and tops, a skirt (which made me look like a house, so now I wear it for non maternity and its great) and one dressier top. For skirts and shabbos I did Jewish stores (I had a close family member's wedding/aufruf/sheva brachos so needed some stuff for better). I got my coat from asos, it was warm and lasted until I gave birth

I restocked from shein every few weeks. I order ten tops and return whatever doesn’t fit or looks bad. Most things were actually very nice.

I just got my big shein maternity order. Will post links if I get a chance. But size down!! I'm a slender size 10/12, and I ordered everything waaaay to big. Sending most of it back and reordering smaller sizes.

I also didn’t find it necessary to size up. Now that I’m in my third trimester I’m buying new things in a bigger size, but until now it all fit true to size.

I got nice dresses from ASOS. They were not maternity they were just so huge I was able to get away with regular sized clothes. But most of my funds were from pink blush. They are more expensive than shein and ASOS but still way way cheaper than Jewish stores and when you use a coupon (which they almost always have) then it’s not bad.

Shein every item runs differently so you have to order two sizes of each and know that you’ll be making a return. I got some nice stuff but alot of stuff didn’t fit and got returned. I kept a pretty floral sweatshirt, maxi dress for shabbos robe and Henley tee shirts.

I haven’t bought maternity from them but I love their regular clothing and will definitely order maternity next time I need. I always order multiple sizes and return whatever doesn’t work.
