My toddler tested positive for Covid this morning, I tested negative. I am almost certain I will get it in the next few hours/days because we cuddle a lot and are in very close proximity.

I'm pretty low risk for Covid, but what can I do along the lines of Vit D, etc to immediately boost my immune system?

I like traditional medicinal echinacea tea (not all flavors are kosher)

And I like natures way Sambucus immune (most kosher but not all)

But of course, you have to see about side effects, drug interactions, etc…

I don’t know if they work. I take them as part of hishtadlus for me personally.

Hydration, rest, limit sugar intake(but don’t go cuckoo) , multi vitamin , Vit D (preferably also with magnesium). Keep taking it for the next few weeks to a month to rebuild your levels in recovery. And consider making it a daily habit because many of these things require long term buildup and don’t work with an immediate dose or a couple days.

Zinc makes me vomit when I take sizable amounts (not just the little bit in a multi vitamin), so I haven’t tried that but seems like a worthwhile idea.

Make a pot of chicken soup now to have when yu feel I'll. It's great for hydration and nutrition especially when you can't smell and you have a cough. and you might not feel up to cooking

There are studies that show vitamin d has the strongest affect on how bad covid will be. So would def start with that.

This is what our dr recommended when we had covid. I’m assuming some are specifically when have covid (melatonin and aspirin) but
Others can take before:

250 quercetin - helps with zinc absorption
1000 vitamin d (some say more)
500-1000 vitamin c - (the quercitin often contains some vitamin c).
50 zinc
325 aspirin
3-6 melatonin - to help with brain fog

If you lose your sense of smell or taste (most ppl don’t anymore) start smelling essential oils (rose and eucalyptus) and fresh oil immediately. It really helps.

I’d call your dr snd see if he has recommendations.

Stock up on tea, soup, comfort foods.

OP, if you are expecting, contact your midwife/obgyn. They may want you to start baby aspirin or may have other recommendations.

As someone who is getting over covid myself, had I known in advance (even if just a day or a few days) I would have:

prepped snacks for the kids
made a shopping order for delivery
bought some new cheap toys to keep the little ones occupied while I was resting
prepped dinners for the next 1-2 weeks - 9x13 pans in the freezer
prepped and frozen sandwiches for lunches
prepped and frozen shabbos food

Don't work hard enough to tire yourself out... and know that most who get covid have no symptoms at all. But if you do have symptoms you would appreciate being able to lean on your preparations.

Try pomegranates or pomegranate juice. It boosts the immune system.

Vit C, D and zinc were lifesavers for me. Something like Maxibiotic or Pantomax should be super helpful as well.

Get Quercitin which is similar to Hydroxychloroquine but is a vitamin and doesnt need a prescription.

Evil Government intimidates doctors from prescribing HCQ or Ivermectin.
But Quercitin is a good substitute.
