First I would give maaser on it, then invest the rest in an account to be used for a home in Israel.

We don’t know if OP is pending just to spend. Maybe her Sheitel is 10 yrs old. And she never buys herself new clothing.
We don’t always have to be practical
No reason to shame someone or lecture them (not just you) on wanting to use a windfall
(And I’m miss practical who never spends anything)

Actually, I specifically stated that if they’re is something you want or need or have been eyeing-to use the opportunity to get it. But those sentiments aren’t relayed when you are asking others what you should buy.
Had she felt that she wanted/needed a new shaital and new clothes, she would have said that she needs XY & Z and had a windfall, which should she prioritize.

Save it if you gotta think about it. If there was something you were dying for but couldn't afford, a winning lottery or gift would be the time to fulfill your wish. However if you need ideas, save it for when you need or want something in the future.

fix dh vehicle, plane ticket to see grandmother, savings, dh and I never got a "honeymoon" in 2015, and our couch is uncomfortably worn (like lean the wrong way without an old pillow propped and your body hurts worn). also sleeping on mattress(es) from before wedding so we'd not be frivolous in replacing them

I wouldn’t spend it.

There is nothing I NEED right now, and money doesn’t burn a hole in my pocket.

If there is something you want but were not previously able to afford, get it, but just for the sake of spending it, I don’t really understand.

financial situation and personality type plays a big role in this. however generally we don't allow ourselves to dream of things out of reach. if we really think about it of course we have luxuries we would really benefit from. winning $10,000 out of nowhere is not planned. most people have a financial plan. if you are able to stick to plan A and it makes sense then why not take that $10k and use it towards something really special that will give you an opportunity to get things done or purchased that would otherwise not be possible. its a bonus, a heaven sent treat.
of course if someone is not on a reasonable plan A and this $10K will literally save them then by all means, put it to that savings account. but I definitely get trying to think of some nice way to really enjoy this win.

How are you all winning money?! 🤑😅

I would spend it on my new kitchen.

In my case I won it through a Tzedakah Fundraiser. I paid Maaser on the winnings althought I didn't calculate tax so I have 9,000 left BH.

I'd run to the Apple Store to get an iMac, then I'd give $5,000 to my son and daughter-in-law so they can furnish their new condo. I'd also buy another lottery ticket. LOL LOL
