I wasn’t a candidate because of the thickness (or rather lack) of my lenses. They told me that the equivalent for me would be getting my lenses totally replaced- like cataract surgery.

I actually have an appointment with dr dello russo next week.
Thank you all for the information. I feel more confident now with my decision to go ahead with the procedure
