A hug fat fly just died in my fish pot that was cooling on the counter!!!
Help? Do I really need to cook new fish now?

I once found 3 dead flies in my salmon that I had stretched myself to buy for yom tov. I asked my rav and he said as long as I was positive they flew in after it was cooked it was fine. There was no way I was going to throw it out, so I just didn't tell anyone and I served it. But I couldn't eat it.

Yes. The pot was covered the entire time.
I only opened it to cool it.
I feel like such a traitor serving this fish.
My family trusts me with hygiene in the kitchen.
I feel so horrible!
