I believe it is, but they do open their business on Shabbos, so people won't use it for that reason.


I believe its worth asking Rabbi Schusterman, who will tell you it is.

So, if you want to know whether you can EAT it, that's not the same question.

I believe I once heard Rabbi Adelman (La Brea Kosher) say the whole reason he carries Old Country is because it's Pas Yisroel. But, as with anything, ask your Rav.

Assuming Pas Yisroel means that the fire was lit by a yid, its Pas Yisroel.

Speak to Rav Schusterman, and ask him. EVERYONE uses it, and its tough, but ask him two questions : Is it Pas Yisroel, and Can we eat it?

Let us know what he says to you.
