I moved locally (5 minute drive away) a few years ago. I got these big grey rubbery bins from a Gemach. I stacked all of my china into it with no wrap, newspapers, or anything between. I carefully loaded the bins into my car, and moved all my china and dishes like this, all by myself. I unpacked dishes into my new kitchen (we managed with disposables in old location till the move) and placed the bins with china in a corner of the living room (those were waiting for furniture, as I keep them in the wall unit).

Nothing broke. B"H!

Use smaller boxes. Take from a gift stire or any store that sells glass items. Line box with foam or buble wrap. Wrap each item and put a crushed newspaper or cardboard between each one . For cups boxes with divider inserts-
