If they last too long, doesnt it mean they must have some strong chemical to preserve it?

If I make my own dressing I throw it out after 2-3 days.

Whats an easy home made recipe that tastes like their caesar dressing?

I don’t know the answer to your question but I can help you with a super simple salad dressing that tastes similar to their Cesar one.

I literally make it in a plastic cup and eyeball the measurements.
Half the cup Mayo
1 T Sugar
1 cube frozen garlic (or 1 t garlic powder)
1/2 t Salt
Mix well. Then add:
2 T Vinegar
1/2 T Mustard (optional)
Mix again. You can add a bit of water if you want it a thinner consistency.

Sometimes I’ll do 1 T Balsamic vinegar instead of the mustard for creamy balsamic.

Aren't all of these dressings mayonnaise based? Mayonnaise keeps. Even homemade mayo can be kept for two weeks.

It lasts until the expiry date. I had it in the refrigerator for months on end and it stayed perfect.

It has EDTA in the ingredients, which is a preservative, as most grocery products do, that may be carcinogenic. But so does store bought mayo. Oy.
