I've seen Denver mentioned several times as a great vacation destination. I would be going with children ranging from 5 to 16. We are not very outdoorsy . What would you recommend doing on a 3 day trip to Denver. Which area should I look to stay in?
I'd appreciate any tips

I would not go to Denver for a 3 day trip. And if you’re not outdoorsy why are you considering it at all?
You should consider Chicago. Closer. Beautiful city, gorgeous architecture, numerous places to eat.

If you're willing to go to Denver for a few days, you need to become outdoorsy to really enjoy what it offers. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

Denver on its own is not much of a destination, it's more of a starting point so you can stock up on food and then drive to your destination. Colorado is beautiful and has so much to do, but most is outdoors. I do remember tons of museums and such in Colorado Springs, so you can find some indoors stuff. Still, it's a bit of a drive from Denver, so if you only have 3 days I don't think that's the best use of your vacation time.

we did it, loved it, and we are not outfoor people either
if your crwd will kvetch about hikes, than Denver has nothing to offer
(and very limited kosher food,, if u bring some frozen meats/ shnitzerls, meatballs) u will be thrilled.
we used one takeout exisit, and I missed my home cooked food. (spoiled me)
Enjoy
