Obviously cashier never removed it and shirt has been sitting in a Century shopping bag for years.
Ive heard these things are impossible to take off.

I believe Century closed down.
Some tailors have devices I believe to remove them.
Did you Google it or try to find a YouTube video on it?

I had the exact same thing happen with a coat I ordered from century. Only found the tag the next winter when I put the coat on my son. I ended up melting it off after trying a few different methods. Here is the link I used. https://www.wikihow.com/Remove.....thing

Do you happen to still have the receipt in the bag? I had this once and took the item to a store right near my house (not where I purchased it). I showed them I paid for the item and they happily removed the security tag for me

I had this recently that I came home from shopping and found one item with the tag on. I used a strong garden cutter to pry at the pin and then I twisted and turned it until it came loose and managed to pull it out.
