There's no anonymous posting here, so you won't get too many replies 
To give a mazel tov:
My mother, mother-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, nieces, a hug and a fake kiss (into the air, toward the sheitel)
Everyone else- if really close, a hug
Otherwise, standing two feet away with a big smile and say, "mazel tov!!!"
Receiving a mazel tov:
- "thank you!!! Brucha tehi!!!" Big smile . If close, a hug.
Otherwise, reciprocate to the level of the well-wisher.
No kisses on cheek.
At most an air kiss toward sheitel

A kiss on the cheek,ew no. An air kiss on the side maybe.. but usually just a loose fake hug.

Why do you call it a fake kiss?  When I air kiss it's a genuine kiss, just socially appropriate for the setting. I'm conveying my happiness for them in the moment.

No I don't kiss anyone, not even fake ones. And I hate when people try to kiss me. I just smile and say thank you.

totally depends on the culture... I was born ashkenazi and married into a sephardi family with some Moroccans, israelis, Iranians, and more... and regardless of the occasion, whenever I see them they bring on the kisses on both cheeks. I'm not used to it at all because kisses were only for immediate family - and still are with my ashkenazi family.
