Kosher food a plus but not a must. I’m looking for a nice area that will give me a real vacation feel. My kids are ages 5-13 and enjoy nature. We like very calm outdoorsy activities. No beaches as I have a bochur although that would’ve been great for my kids. I’m trying to find an area with nice well priced hotels but no luck. Also don’t want anything with expensive attractions as money is very tight. Any suggestions? I know it’s last minute, but we’d love to leave Sunday.

Is it worth it? We want to go for only two nights. Any nice hotel you can recommend? What activities can we do there that’s not a fortune?

We once stayed here https://www.gettysburgaccommodations.com/
The grounds are beautiful. Gettysburg is close by and not at all expensive. My husband davened in Philly, which was a short drive away. There is also plenty to do in the Philly area, plus kosher food.

Check out hotels in Scranton, PA. Approx $130 per night for a decent hotel. Hilton Etc. It’s in the Poconos plus minyan I’m some kosher food etc
