I'm addicted to aita... And sometimes I read a thread on here and wonder what the good ppl over on aita would think about it. 😂 I almost did repost a situation I read on here once... But I chickened out. Bc of their rules

Not to hijack but reading AITA has been eye opening because the entitlement of some people is amazing - astounding.

And then there are the people who ask AITA when they have been taken advantage of by people for a long period of time.

But yes that is a major time suck as I can start reading threads and then realize that I have been immersed as if it is a fascinating novel because the situations are so interesting - like a real life soap opera.

I think this is so socially off...

I am a BT, these things dont happen in the non frum world. None of my neighbors growing up asked to "borrow" our pool, it seems to be more common in frum circles...

Maybe not, but there are countless Dear Abby letters about neighbors who feel entitled to freely and frequently borrow trucks, lawn mowers and barbecue grills, or even live in people's houses rent-free. Maybe non-frum people are more likely to have their own pools, or have greater access to other swimming pools, or maybe you were simply lucky to have mannerly neighbors. Nonfrum people don't have the issue of needing a single-gender pool, after all. The Y or a municipal pool works for them.

Of course your pool is more convenient than his other option, he's convinced you to give it to him for free. Don't give him excuses as to why you don't allow him to use it, by the way you describe him he seems the type who will argue with you...
